In this Month's jaunt in the world of convergence related publications I came across "Economic Globalisation and Human Rights". As the CONVERGE project evolves we will come through our research towards knowing more about this hugely relevant subject, but for now, I content myself to have a read of this book and recommend it as book of the week for the CONVERGE project. Feel free to comment with your reviews and thoughts on this one! "Economic globalisation is one of the guiding paradigms of the twenty-first century. The challenge it implies for human rights is fundamental, and key questions have up to now received no satisfying answers. How can human rights protect human dignity when economic globalisation has an adverse impact on local living conditions? |
